Fenty Haul - Hide Your Wallets
Hello Pretties! So I recently decided to treat myself to a few goodies from Fenty Beauty.
It just so happened it was national lipstick day, and Ms. Rihanna releasing her new Skincare Line in the same time frame.
The universal Bomb Gloss is one of my absolute favorite glosses. I've had about five tubes so far. I typically rotate between the colors Fenty Glow and FU$$Y, which are more neutral. I was on the website because it was time for a new tube again and I saw this beautiful color Cheeky and decided to get it. Cheeky is a shimmering bright red-orange. This shade, in particular, is a Fenty Beauty exclusive and can only be found on the website. It's also a charitable shade as 100% of the proceeds go to Clara Lionel Foundation. This charity supports and funds groundbreaking and effective education, health, and emergency response programs worldwide.
For those of you who haven't tried the gloss bombs. They are universal lip glosses that look and feel good, and you can wear it by itself or as a topper. Frequently, lip gloss can be sticky and messy, but these are formulated with shea butter for a more comfortable feel. They come in six other colors and retails for $19 ( minus tax, of course).
It was national lipstick day, so there was a promotion going on where it was buying one get one. So, of course, I got two because that is a great deal. I know what you may be thinking, why am I buying lipstick if we have to wear masks. Well, for me wearing lipstick even in the house or right before putting on a mask makes me good and empowered. Sometimes it is the little things to keep our spirits up during these difficult times. I copped two of the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick colors. I purchased Saw-C and Spanked. Spanked is a dusty rose, which I think is perfect every day. Saw-C is an exotic tangerine, a bright fun color to bring out when I’m feeling spicy. I think this will also pair nicely with Cheeky on top. I have several lipsticks from this line, and Ms. Rihanna definitely made a hit when she made these.
Look forward to a review soon further. The Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick comes in a range of 24 colors and retails for $18 but is now on sale for $12.50.
Before the release of Fenty Skin, I was on the fence about whether it was a product that I wanted to try. I am weary of people, specifically influencers and celebrities coming into the skincare industry as a money grab. We've seen it with Kylie Skin, which, based on several reviews, didn't go over so well. I watched the promotional video, which was beautifully executed, and a few reviews that were done by several people in the skincare industry. From there, I decided to give Fenty Skin a shot. Fenty Skin launched with three items, a cleanser, toner serum, and moisturizer. Each item is sold separately but can also be purchased as a set for $75 and is valued at $88. I opted for the set as it is a better deal because I wanted to try the collection as a whole. The Total Cleans' r Remove-It-All Cleanser retails for $25. The Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum retails for $28. Lastly, the Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen retails for $35. The line is formulated to be universal for everyone and multifunctional, with one product being a tone one. My opinion on the products on the products is TBD, but a review will be up soon!
