New Year, New Beauty Routine—Let’s Glow Up in 2025!
A new year means a fresh start, and this time, I’m giving my beauty routine the upgrade it deserves, without overcomplicating things. Think decluttering old products (goodbye, expired lip gloss), simplifying skincare, and finally investing in tools that actually work.
I’m also making more time for self-care moments, staying hydrated (inside and out), and having fun with bold colors, because why not? This year, it’s all about small changes that feel good and make a big impact. Ready to glow up with me? Let’s do this!
"Let’s Be Real: Why Vanity Sizing is Sabotaging Your Confidence (and How to Take Back Control)"
Shopping for clothes should be fun, right? But if you’ve ever found yourself stuck in a fitting room with a zipper that won’t budge or a button that refuses to close, you know how quickly excitement can turn into self-doubt. The truth is, it’s not you, it’s the numbers.
Vanity sizing has quietly taken over our closets and confidence for years. One store’s size 8 feels like a dream, while another’s feels two sizes too small. It’s confusing, frustrating, and makes shopping feel like a chore instead of a treat. But here’s the thing: you are not defined by a tag.
In this blog post, we’re breaking down what vanity sizing really is, how it’s been shaping the way we see ourselves, and why it’s time to flip the script. We’ll also share tips to help you shop smarter, embrace your unique body, and reclaim the joy of finding pieces that truly fit you.
Because at the end of the day, confidence isn’t about a number, it’s about how you feel in your own skin. Ready to take back control? Let’s dive in.

First Impressions of The Museum for Black Girls
The Museum for Black Girls celebrates the beauty, history, and contributions of African American women through art and interactive exhibits. Founded in 2019, it highlights influential figures like Madame CJ Walker and Rose Morgan while honoring Black culture, including hair and beauty traditions.
I visited the Washington, DC location with a friend and loved the welcoming vibe, nostalgic displays, and photo-worthy setups. Afterward, we grabbed tacos next door—perfect ending to a great experience. With events like sip-and-paints and expos, it’s a must-visit spot for inspiration and celebration!
Exploring Christian Dior’s “Designer of Dreams” Exhibit
I had the chance to visit the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum during its final week. The showcase featured over 300 garments, sketches, and accessories, celebrating 70 years of Dior’s iconic history.
Although the exhibit has ended, I captured the experience in a vlog on my YouTube channel—plus a fun stop at Sweet Chick and shopping in Soho. Check it out!
A Love Affair with Nails – My Obsession and Inspiration
My love for nails started early—it was one of the few beauty rituals I was allowed as a kid, and it quickly became my favorite treat for good grades or good behavior. That love has only grown over the years, and now I can’t wait to share more nail content with you!
While I can’t hit the salon every few weeks (college budget struggles), I’ll be posting updates on my latest nail ventures as they happen. In the meantime, check out my Nail’d It Pinterest board for tons of nail inspo, and don’t forget to follow along on YouTube for even more beauty content!
